I have a 56cm calf will this be a problem?

Hello Christopher, do you mean 56 cm calf length (= boot height)? If so, this boot is not cover the whole calf length, it covers about 2/3 of our calf length.  
When you order it, you can write down the boot height you want, them our shoes tailor will make the boots size as you request.  (n__n)
